Kris Thomas has been a showstopper ever since he began performing publicly in his church choir as a 14-year-old in Memphis, Tennessee. He made his way from a position in the prestigious Stax Music Academy in Memphis to a Top-10 run on NBC’s The Voice, where he was a member of Shakira’s season four team in 2013. He now boasts a self-titled EP that will get your foot tapping and itching to jump on the dance floor. Kris brings the meaning of soul to an entirely new level, and his talent combined with the All-Star Band’s skill set keeps B.B. King’s Blues Club Orlando rockin’ on any given night of the week!
The band’s six-man lineup consists of vocalists, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and horns. Together, the band harmonizes like a smooth Motown group with the improvisation of a jazz outfit, and its energy sparks from equal ties to soul, the Blues and rock ‘n’ roll. The songs are performed with due appreciation of their origins, yet with their own artistic twist, giving each one a breath of fresh air. The band covers a wide range of styles and includes renditions of some crowd-favorite classics. The brassy arrangements and soulful guitar solos are just a few highlights that allow each of the artists to showcase his talent. The B.B. King’s Blues Club All-Star Band consist of musicians from diverse backgrounds, many of which are gospel influenced. Want to see them live? Click here for their next set.
